The policies vahied numbered 52,273 and the sums assured amount to £13,797,075. The surplus after adding £75.458 to investment for fluctuation reserve amounted to £222,065. The individual bonuses range from 21s to 33s per cent, on original sum assured according to amount of previous bonuses, the total of re visionary bonuses so allotted amounting to £238.760. The funds of the Department on Doeemlior 31sti were £5.033,883 in addition to £189.121 set aside to meet possible depreciation in assets.
