HUGE FIGURES.
Electric Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. Sydney, Last Night. Joseph Earle Harmann, a financier, was charged with uttering a forged promissory note for £2689 15a 6d. The prosecution alleged that there were other notes supposed to be forgeries totalling nearly £42,000. Bail was refused and the hearing adjourned till the 29th.
