The following forecast was issued by the Government mcteorolegist (Rev. D. C. Bates) at, noon to-day: The indications are for southeasterly moderate to strong winds and veering by east to north then freshening for tun unfavourable change in tho beginning of the -reek. Increasing haze and cloudiness. Barometer falling after about 21 to 3tJ nouns.
