PAHIATUA STOCK SALE.
Abraham and Williams, Limited, reporting on their Pahiatua stock sale oai Tuesday, state: —Me offered a fair yarding of sheep and cattle to a moderate attendance, for which the rough weather was no doubt accountable. Practically all the sheep were sold, and a good clearance made in the cattle at late rates. Quotations: Sound mouth ewes, in lamo 9s 4d, ■V. 9d to 10s 7d; shorn lambs, 7s fid; aged rams, 7s 3d to 9s; 3-year steers, £5 10s; 2-vear steers, £4 8s tid; 18-mos steers, £3 7s; 18-mos heifers, £3 2s lid: weaners, 23s fid ; stoye cows, £2
Abraham and Williams, Limited, report having held a clearing sale on behalf of Mr Charles Hyland at his farm, ivonini. on the 21st instant. There was a good attendance of farmers, notwithstanding the rough weather, and his stock, implements, furniture, etc., met with spirited bidding, and all lines brought satisfactoryvalues. Two and a half-year heifers in calf, made £6 3s to £6 ss; 18-month heifers in calf, £2 17s to £4; young bull-. £2 18s to £3 12s: weanor steei s. 30s ; weaner heifers, 355; farm horses, £ll and £l6; unbroken horses, £3 15« to £8 10s: sow- in pig, £+i Berkshire boar. £2; spring dray, £l2 17s fid; harrows, £1 17s 6d and £2 10s; di.se- harrows. £8 12s fid; and s.f. plough. £8 7h fid. Sundries, furniture etc., all brought real good values. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., re[»Ht oi. their Pahiatun sale as folovvs; A medium entry of sheepf principally lambs) met with good competition. Lambs were in better demand than last sales report, and with the exception of e>ne small [win we had a total clearance at auction at the following price-; Small lambs 5s 7d. medium lambs to 7- Id. Bs, 8s 3d to 8s 5d j good iamb- to 10s; aged ewes 8s -kl aged owes in lamb 8s 10d ; good skirted wethers 15s 4d ; fat ewes lls Od ; fat lambs 12s 6d.

There was a good demand for sheep, and we made a good clearance at- late rates. Cattle met a dull sale, and (he hulk of the entry did not find buyers.
