Nutwood can trot a mile in 2.30, and is half-brother to Ribbonwood (2.0), the fastest trotting horse in the Australasian colonies. The consideration of horse-breeders is solicited to the above pedigree, which shows Nutwood to be descended from the best English blood and the best American trotting blood. Nutwood is the sire of Walnutt, winner of the Dunedin Park Club Trotting Cup of 250 so vs, and Forbury Handicap; also Rita H., Allnutt, and other promising horses.
