Parke showed superiority from the base-line. Lowe was wearied by the semi-final. Doubles. —Semi-final: Dunlop and Brookes beat Heath and Lycett, 6- 4, 6 —2, 6 —l. There was great interest in this match, as the winner was likely to meet the Britishers in the cup. Brookes was magnificent. Final: Brookes and Dunlop beat Parke and Beamish, 6 —2, 6 —4, 6—4. SPRINGBOKS v. KILTS. London, Last Night. Springboks 16, Scotland nil. AUSTIt ALI A D EFEAT ED. Vancouver, Last Night. An “All Star” team a/t British Columbia defeated Australia by 15 to nil. The visitors were handicapped by the wet state of the ground. CRICKET. Sydney, Last Night. In the inter-State cricket match, Queensland in their first innings scored'ls9 runs, Sheppard not out 63. New South Wales in their first innings obtained 123. BOXING. Sydney, Last Night. Paul Til, the Frenchman, was awarded the victory, after a slashing twenty rounds with Jaeh Reid. SOUTHERN BOWLERS. Wellington, Last Night. Die South Island bowling team returned to Wellington on Friday evening from their tour of the North, and on Saturday morning some of the players went to the Hutt, where a friendly game resulted in a win for the local club, who. however, had been reinforced by players from other clubs.
After their return to the city the visitors were entertained at luncheon by the Wellington Centre. In the afternoon a test match was played between the Southerners representing the New Zealand Bowling Association and eight rinks from different Wellington Clubs. Twenty heads were played instead of the customary 21. The result was a win for Wellington by 204 points to 181. Tho scores are as follows, the Wellington teams being given first: Laurenson, Pollock, Bell (s) 34; Gardside, Bridget, AfcFarlane, Henderson (s) 22.

Tho team left for Lyttelton in the evening by the Mararoa. They play Christchurch on Monday.
