A MYSTERIOUS CASE
Electric Telegraph—Press Association Gisborne, Last Night.
James Kennedy, 30 or 32 years of age, was found dead in his tent at ltaukauroa, near Gisborne, this morning. The information received goes to show that the cause of death is somewhat mysterious. Deceased was a navvy working on the railway line, having been so employed for a considerable time. He went to the Raukauroa Post Office last night for his mail, and then appeared to be in his usual good health. Deceased slept in a tent by himself, and when somebody went to call him at six o’clock in the morning he was found dead. He was a) single man. This afternoon the body was said to be turning black. KILLED IN THE BUSH. Auckland, Last Night. Constable Wade, of ivawiiin, telegraphed to headquarters this afternoon til at a native named Tami Rangi was accidentally killed in Hje bush to-day at Awaroa.
