WELLINGTON LAND BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Wellington Band Board was held on, Thursday, the members present lacing: Mr James Mackenzie (Commissioner of Crown Lands), and Mesrs A. Keeee, Joseph Dawson and C. J. Canton.

The following transfers were approved:—Sections 49 and 64, Paliiatua Village Settlement, from A. Wheatley to V. Redmond; section 43, block 7, Tararua, executors of Taft and Valentine to J. and M. Valentine; sections 17, 19, 20 and 21, Makuri Village Settlement, from A. E. Corbin to L. S. Polglase; section 594, block 165, from A. E. Corbin to L. S. Polglase; sections 1 and 6. Tararua, from R. J. Thompson to S. H. Baker. An application from James Lonev to transfer section 25, block 5, Mt. Cerberus, to Mr A. A. Hutching, was dfolined, Mr Hutching apparently being ineligible through being the lessee of two other sections which do not adjoiii. H. G. Leach applied to transfer section 10, block 11. Puketoi. to Edward Jewitt. The application was declined a.s Mr Jewitt appeared to he the, same person who already held tw.o b uses which did not adjoin this .section. and was t beret ore not eligible as a transferee.

A. Jones applied to transfer section On, block 11, -tit. Cerberus, to T. A. Yeoman. Transfer to lie allowed to proceed on condition that half the proceeds after payment of all charges will be earmarked for the benefit of tbe children to the »a tisfactio® of tbe (Vimmi -sioner.
