The inspector submitted his monthly report relating to water and drainage, nuisances, buildings, and sewerage extension, all of which were read and received. Amongst a number of minor matters the inspector reported that the building trade was slacker than it had been for years past. In connection with the sewerage extension the work had been stopped for a week owing to the shortage of material, hut a supply of pipes had now arrived, and the work was being pushed on as expeditiously as possible. The new septic tank was completed with the exception of plastering. The material for the filter bed was on the ground. All the Crewe street main was now laid with the exception of about six chains.

Tlie inspector, Department -of Public Health, reported that one case of tuberculosis had occurred within the borough during the past month. The patient had been removed, and the premises disinfected. The public health and the general sanitary condition of the borough were satisfactory.

Two tenders for printing were received and referred to the Finance Committee with power to act.

Accounts amounting to £603 10s 3d il an acount £292 Is 3d. general account £lO4 17s 9d. interest account £2ll 11s) were passed for payment. A vote ot thanks was passed to Cr. J. D. Wilson for his gift of 100 trees, and the meeting adjourned.
