Cissy by Musket—Frailty, by Goldsborough—Flora Mclvor, by New .Warrior from Io by Sir Flercules. Cissy, who: was a good performer, is full sister to the mighty Trenton and Cuirassier, half-siter to Niagara, #nd three-quarter sister to Mary. Zalinski, Mousquetaire, and Havoc. The Musket-Frailty strain combines the best blood in the colony, and on this account alone Daystav’s claims cannot he overlooked. He, however, comes from a most illustrious family on both sides. Out of twentv-six starts Castor scored SEVENTEEN WINS, FOl R SECONDS and THREE THIRDS, being only TWICE UNPLACED. On his dam’s side no further comment is necessary, and enough has been said to show that Daystar is one of the best bred horses that has ever been at the service of breeders in this district. On the turf Daystar won the A.R.C. Spring Trial Handicap, seven furlongs, beating a good field: same meeting won the A.R.C. Ascot Handicap. one mile, beating Waiuku, Fabulist. Lady Marion, St. Regel.
