MINING DISASTER.

A shocking disaster occurred at Aloun: -Morgan Mine on Saturday evening, resulting in the death of seven men. Their names are Leishman, Shepherd, Guthrie, Jury. Hillyard. Gerrke and Ryan. They were employed on tiie 850 feet level, when suddenly, without warning, ail immense mass of earth and rock, estimated at 3000 tons, broke away, -..mg 'he level and burying seven. Though it was recognised that the position was practically hopeless work, the mine was stopped and rescue operations started and continued throughout the night. To-day the work was attended with great danger, owing bo further debris tailing. The lu-t body was recovered to-night. They acre all horribly mutilated.
