Electric Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch. July -5. A message received from Kai'.poi to-day states that two seals, believed to he the Exhibition seals, were found dead near Kaiapoi. with bullet wounds in their bodies, and their skins off. Yesterday the Inspector for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals went to Xew Zealand and shot "Nellie.’’ the female seal which was at the Exhibition.
