The attendance was good, buyers coming from as far down as tlie Upper Hutt, and also from Palmerston and Dannevirke. Several unbroken colts elicited keen competition, draughts and hacks being in fair demand, and in some cases equal to spring kinds. Prices realised were as follow: Medium draught gelding, d 22 10s, trap £ls 15s to_£24. light trap mare in foal £9 15s. pair of buggy ponies (unbroken) £2O, thoroughbred filly £2O. boy’s pony £6. It was announced that the next sale would be held about the end of September.
