Dr Haw. an American lawyer, was sentenced to death at Karvsruhe for shooting Ids mother-in-law at Baden in November in order to obtain her fortune after telephoning to her to meet him. Haw appealed, and while he was awaiting trial his wife committed suicide at Lake Zurich.
