PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows: —At our weekly Pabiatua stock sale, held yesterday, we yarded 2800 sheep and a fair number of cattle. The entry of the sheep comprised mostly breeding ewes, and not much difficulty was experienced in quitting any good pens of these. Poorer sort-;, however, were practically unsaleable. A good inquiry existed for hoggets and bidding for these at times became animated, all lots selling under the hammer. The mixed aged ewes offered on behalf of Messrs Halliday Brothers. Pongaroa. also looking somewhat tbe worse for the rough weather and had
roads, -old well, all being disposed of at 22- 3d and 22s 6d. We quote as follows Ewes in lam. mixed ages (good sk'nned sheep). 22s 3d to 23s 3d: ewes in lamb (aged). 13s to 15s: cull ewes in lamb. 7s 9d ; hoggets. 12s 8d to 15s 2d: wethers. Ids lOd in 17s: fat bullocks. £7: store cows, l>s C<] to 255; fat and forward cows, £3 17- to £4 : yearlings, 24s to 27s tkl : dairy cows, £3 10s to £4 Bs.
