WELSH COLLIERIES.
FRENCH CAPITAL INVESTED. PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. London, October 17. Regarding the alleged French purchase of colleries in Wales, it is explained that the Cardiff Rochefort Company, a British institution including a considerable proportion of French-owned shares, is acquiring steam and anthracite collieries, and will erect briquette works at Swansea and in districts in the Loire Val. ley.
