The accident was due to the boy’s fault. SUCCESS OF NEW ZEALAND TENNIS PLAYER. London, Sept. 16. Wilding won the South of England tennis championship at Eastbourne. CIVILIAN SOLDIERS. London, Sept. 16. The Spectator, referring to the experimental volunteer company, emphasises that it is possible to form ii militia with a force of 300.000 at a comparatively small cost. (A cablegram recently stated that an experimental company of civilian soldiers, raised bv the Spectator new,spa. per. completed six months’ training. The experiment proved a great, success.)
