THE CUBAN REBELLION.
AN ATTACK PREVENTED. PER UNITED PREBB ASSOCIATION. Havana, Sept. 16. The landing of the sailors from the Denver prevented an insurgent attack on Havana. ANOTHER CRUISER ORDERED TO HAVANA. OTHERS READY TO SAIL. New York, Sept. 15. The cruiser Dixie, with three hundred marines, has been ordered to Havana. Other cruisers are ready to sail. 11 is hoped at Washington that, the presence of bluejackets will serve as a warning to President Palma and the insurgents to head their differences ,and thus prevent drastic intervention. Havana, Sept. 15. An extraordinary session of the Cuban Congress granted President. Palma the fullest powers to suppress 1 the rebellion.
