At the above Court this morning tho following civil cases were dealt with : Borough Council v. Margaret Beaufort, claim I*2 2s for rates, judgment for amount claimed with costs. Pahiatua Rifles v. Frederick Bcngo, claim Aid Is lor buuscriptions, etc., judgment for amount claimed with costs 10s. Frank Crawley and John Robinson woro fined 10s each and Ids 7d for travelling o i a railway train without tickets. A man named Campbell, a prohibited per. on, was convicted of drunkenness and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. Vernon Smith claimed AM from A. Green, optician, return of money paid for spectacles, the agreement being that the money was to be returned by defendant, Green, if the spectacles were not suitable. Evidence was given by l>r Dawson and Mr Geo. Oxley. There was no appearance of defendant, and judgment was given for lhe amount churned, j together with costs, AM odd.
