The Daily Mail says there was a great crushing at the launch of the meteor. The soldiers forced a passage for President Rooseveldt and Prince Henry. After lunch a terrific rush was made for a souvenir and crockery, knives and forks were looted.
New York, February 27. Prince Henry was a guest of Pierpont Morgan.
A hundred millionaires were at the lunch.
Staats Zeitung entertained twelve lmndrea journalists at a banquet to meet the Prince. A thousand editors of dailies cabled the Kaiser reciprocating Germany’s splendid overtures of friendship. Mr Whitelaw Reed, toasting Prince Henry, said tho God of nature intended Germany, Britaiu and America to live in perpetual peace and friendship. PriDGO Henry replied that the Kaiser directed him to remember that American pressmen ranked almost with his Generals.
