The Producers’ Union and the Farmers’ Union.

Lvst evening (Friday Messrs Dunning, McDonald, Moore, Raucke, Beech and tjuirke awaited on the Conference of the Farmers' Union with a view to bringing about amalgamation of the two bodies. Mr Dunning submitted the following as a basis for amalgamation : 1. That the combined Associations be named the New Z.alaud Farmer-’ and Producers Union. 2. That the Pioducers' Union’s platform be submitted tor the favourable consideration of the New Zealand Farmers' Union with a v.ti to its being substantially incorp .rated in the combined Association programme. 3. That in view of the g-eat importance of the combined Associations becoming numerically strong \nd as a token of onr amalgamation we submit the idea of the Association accepting the benefit of the Producer-.'
