DECLINED WITH THANKS.

One unaccustomed to walking over ploughed ground would hardly be expected to derive any pleasure from an indulgence in this particular form of exercise. The distance I had been invited to cover was about four miles, and the day—well, the heat of the sun was enough to broil one, and this I thought quite sufficient to justify my thankfully declining Mr George Batchelor’s kindly tendered invitation. This gentleman, who was engaged ploughing when X called upon him, resides at his farm, liortun ftiver. He would have walked the distance many times over to prove the correctness of liis statements given me u few minutes before and which are now repeated for the benefit of our readers. “ I hear, Mr Batchelor,” said I, “ that you have just experienced a remarkable recovery from a very long illness.” '* I have, indeed.” “ Would you mind narrating the particulars of your case to us for publication ? ” “ Certainly I will, for I think the case is one which should have all the publicity possible. I am sixty-five years of age, and have been resident in this district for about twelve yeurs. Prior to my coming here, X had always enjoyed the best of health, and X bad been accustomed to work very hard. About six years ago, however, all my energy seemed to gradually desert me. 1 suffered acutely and constantly from pains in my limbs, lost my appetite, and for months at a stretch X did not know what it was to get a good night's sleep. Work of the very lightest nature at fast came beyond the question with me, and X could do nothing but sit by the window and content myself by watching the othors work the farm. I gave up all hope of ever being able to do any more werk, and almost believed that every week which commenced would be my last, in uiy endeavors to stay the ravages of ibe ailment which had overtaken me, and was gradually drawing me into the grave, I tried innumerable so-called cures, and swallowed ail unconscionable quantity of medical compounds, but beyond giving me temporary relief, they, none of them, did me any good ; in fact, X honestly believe that the majority of them only aggravated my suiferings. X was just on the point of giving up in despair a few months back when I happened to read in a newspaper of ome wonderful cures effected by Dr l)r Williams’ I‘ink X’llls for i’ale l’eoplc, and I determined to give them a trial. After taking the tirst box, X felt considerably relieved, and so marked was the improvement I noticed in my strength that I decided to continue their use. X did so, and up to the present time 1 have taken five boxes. My inability has all disappeared, and I am pleased to say that to-day X am as strong and hearty as X ever was in my life. Xt is no trouble tu me to do a day’s wurk now, and X feel quite equul to the task of walking at least thirty miles a day. Everyone who knows me can testify to the great cure these I’ills have effected in me, and in recommending them fer similar cases to mine 1 cau honestly say that they are worth more than their weight in gold, if everybody knew their true value, there would be no other medicines sold. “ The foregoing uccount of my case is exaetlv in accordance with the facts. •‘.Signed) G. BATCHELOR. V. -. O. W.
