At three o'clock on Saturday afternoon tlie St .John's Working Men’s Club and a malt bouse adjoining were totally destroyed by fire. Mrf McGregor, wile of the custodian, who it was believed was safely out of the building, waa subsequently found to have perished, and her charred remains were found in the debris.
