Calcct ta, November 25. Besides having to negotiate a terribly difficult defile, Colonel Westmacott's march to Duatoic was greatly impeded by the intense cold. Seventeen degrees of frost were recorded, several members of the force were frost-bitten, and tlieir breath was congealed on their beards and formed into icicles.
