I Correspondence is invited upon all subjects, but we do not hold ourselves responsible for the opinions of onr correspondent ts. J TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In your issue of the 19tli appears a letter signed D. A. Light (daylight), in which the writer appears to be exceedingly witty at my expense; but. Sir, as you refused to allow me to append the signature of “ Leghorn ” to my previous letter on the ground that it was a personal attaek on a public servant, I cannot understand why you allowed an anonymous writer to reply to me. 1 was never ashamed of my name but considered the nom de plumo “ Leghorn ” very appropriate to the occasion, hence my dosiro to seo it in print. However, I will right here inform “ Daylight ” that if lie will come out of his shell and sign his own name (be lie butler or anything else to Messrs Jack or Loucli) 1 will tell him a few more truths that will let a little more daylight into his by no means fertile brain. As it is 1 do not intend to let this matter rest where it •*, and have already in preparation a letter dealing very fully with the administration of the co-operative system since the departure of Mr llay. As the last witticism of “ Daylight’s ” does not refer to the subject under discussion l shall not reply to it. I am, etc., 11. Kmout.
