-The concert held at Ngaturi in aid of the library fund was spoilt by the inclemency of tbo weather, our town friends deeming it too rough to venture out. The Rev. Mr l’hillip showed his magic lantern. Songs and readings weio interspersed. During tho evening the Rev. l’hillip presented Miss Lizzie Dick with a handsomely-bound album and hand hag, subscribed for by tho settlers in recognition of her services as organist during the past five years. Mr John Dick suitably responded on behalf of his daughter.
