Wi Pere, Lethbridge, Steward and Parata. The Houso resumed at 7.80. The debate was continued by Messrs Carncross, Massey, Stevens and R. Mackenzie. Gn the motion of the Hon J. Carroll the debate was adjourned. The House rose at 11.50. Legislative Council. Tho Council met at 2.80. Tho Speaker was presented to His Excellency, who congratulated him on his re-election by 28 votes to 18. A motion proposed by the Minister of Education that no iiqtior bo sold in tho Parliamentary Buildings during the present session was negatived. The Adulteration Prevention Acts Amendment Bill passed tho final stages, and tho Invercargill Post Offices Site Act Amendment Bill was read a second time. Tho Council adjourned at 8.40.
