Eastern news of August sth states that 3000 Phillipine Island rebels entered the town of San Rafael, occupied by a Spanish regiment. The rebels carried all before them and drove the Spaniards into >ho convent. They were beseiged for two days, when large reinforcements of Spanish arrived and routed the rebels, who fled, leaving 160 dead and wounded. The Spanish lost 43 killed and wounded.
