The Miowera and Pukaki in a Gale. By Telegraph—Press Association. Weiximotoe, This Day. The Miowera was caught in a very bail storm on Thursday. Seas constantly broke on board, smashed in Ike doors of the captain’s and cabins, wrenched away a boat from the chocks and threw it oil the bridge, and flooded the forward berth-. The passengers were battened down and were not allow, d on deck, and so furious was the storm that many gave themselves up for lost. After being liove to for 17 hours the gale moderated. The Pukaki was caught in the sime storm and lost her binnacle.
