The programme for the band concert on Thursday evening is published in another column, and must be admitted to bn the best collection of talent vet placed on the Pahiatua stage. The NVoodville band will open the concert by playing the selection “ Verdi,” which was the test piece played by the colonial bands in Wellington. The public will thus havo a opportunity of hearing the class of music played in colonial contests. The programme also includes the name of Miss Tansloy of Dannovirke, an umatuer far above the average, and also Mr and Mrs Macedoand Mr (Irant all of Woodville. We are pleased to bo able to say that tickets aro Bellini; well. Mr G. A. Pair brother’s tender for tho stock-in-trade in the estate of Mr J. Meliain, watchmaker, of Puhiatua, lias been accepted.
