DUEL BETWEEN PRINCES.

Prince Henry of Orleans was wounded slightly in the breast, bat seriously in the abdomen in the duel with tlio Comte de Turin, nephew of the Italian King. The Comte only received a slight wound in the right hand.

Rome, August 16. Further details of the duel between Prince Henry of Orleans and the Comte de Turin show that it was fought in the Bois Vaucresson at St. Cloud, and was a sharp determined encounter, lasting 26 minutes. In the first assault Prince Henry was saved from a stab by an upper trousers button. In the fifth Prince Henry received a wound on the right side of the lower abdomen. His second thereupon stopped the duel. The doctors state that if the wound had been inflicted half a centimetre further it would have penetrated the intestines.

When the wound had been dressed Prince Henry resumed the contest and vigorously assumed the offensive, until touched on the right breast by his opponent's sword. In the second round, which was fought at close quarters, the seconds intervened. In the third round the Comte de Turin received a cut on the back of the hand.

In the fourth round Prince Henry's sword was bent against his opponents baud, and the latter agreed to a suspension of hostilities. The Comte de Turin immediately afterwards started on his return to Italy. Prince Henry walked to his carriage, in which he was conveyed to his residence. No important organ was touched by the wound and the Prince is doing well.

The result of the duel wa3 received with much delight in Italy. The Emperor of Germany has sent his congratulations to the Comte de Turin.

The First Duel Abandoned.

In consequence of the result of the duel between Prince Henry of Orleans and Comte de Turin, General Alberton, the Italian officer who first challenged Orleans has abandoned the proposed duel.
