GENEBAL BATE, 1897-98. is hereby given that it _L\ is the intention of the Pahiatua Borough Council at its noxt ordinary meeting to bo held on Monday, the 2nd day of August next, to striko a rate of one shilling and threepence in the, pound on all the rateable property within the Borough, under sections 37 to 41 inclusive, of the Hating Act, 1894, for the period commencing the Ist day of April, 1897, and ending the Hist day of March, 189 H, and that such rate shall be due and payable in olio sum on tho 15th day of August, 1897, except where such rate exceeds £5, when it may be payable in two equal installments on the 15th day of August, 1897, and tho 15th day of December, 1897.
