Mr Iml \V( lift, who has been for a considerable time in tin; employ of Messrs Harrell and Chambers, wan on Friday evening last entertained at a smoko concert. During the evening he was presented witli a testimonial by Ins many friends, also a handsome photo album, which was presented by bis late employer, Mr A. Darrell, who spoke in high praise of Mr Wells as a tradesman and a townsman. Everyone in and around tins district will extend to him their best wishes for his future prosperity. lie has gained the esteem of all who have had the pleasure of knowing him. lie is about to take up his abode in the , Auckland district.
