Mia, Crewe l ad been ailin- for a considerable lime, and had hern taken to different part* of the colony in tho hope that the chan/e would restore her to health- The mild climate of Napier appi ared at first to effict a wonderful ini proven lent but the change was only temporary, and the end gradually approached, until yesterday Miss Crewe pass-d away quietly and painlessly. The deceased I nly was just on the threshold of life, bein'; only l-< years of age. Notwithstanding her lon- illness her *p:nts were never affected, and she was always bright, cheerful and hopeful —always able to look on the hr ght side f f life. Little w mder that w;th these unusual attributes she was a general favorite. Th; fullest sympathy is expressed for Mr Crewe and Mr J. D. C. Crewe, who bate in less than a year sustain* d a double bereavement in the loss of wife and mother, daughter and sister. Their sorrow will be respec'fully shared hj everyone in the district. The funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon next leaving Mr Crewe s residence for the I*ahi»tua cemetery at 2.50 o'clock.
