MAKAIRO LETTER.
o * a From our own correspondent. I, v Now that the Upper Makairo > people have opened a school it is i, felt that a more central position e ought to be chosen for the new school. This is a matter that the if School Committee should look to. . Great disappointment is expressed on r all sides at the great delay in starting e the building of our new school. I a am given to understand the fault is a not the Education Board’s, therefore j I would advise the School Committee r] to bring matters to a crisis without g delay. . Up to the present our winter has s been everything to be desired ; cone sequently stock, particularly sheep, . are doing well. a The Crown Dairy Company are a going to erect), their creamery near i. the Makairo bridge, while the Dairy e Union hope to erect theirs on the . North Tiraumea side of Hull’s bridge, f I am informed one farmer is importing a 10-cow milking machine m and is going to milk 100 cows, and that another is cutting up his farm e for the purpose of letting it for o dairy purposes on the share principle.
