Following are the results : Spring Handicap.—Johnny Faa and Golden Plover dead heat, Pihanga 3. Divs., Johnny Faa £3 4s, Golden Plover £1 6a. Wanganui Derby.—Blarney 1. Merino 2, Teredina 3. Also started The Friar and King’s Bowman. Won comfortably by a nock. Div., £2 Is. First Hurdles.—Melinite, Bonovoroo 2, Oaklands 3. Div., £4 3s. Hack Hurdles —Strike 1. Dividend £6 Bs. Hunter Hurdles—Seddon 1, Awarua 2, Teari 3. Dividend L 4. Haek liace —Irish Twist 1. Dividend, L 4 17s. Flying Handicap—Sylvia Park 1, Kosofeldt 2, Purepo 3. Won by a length. Dividend, L 8 Is. The mare Paradox dropped dead while doing an exercise gallop on the course this morning. There is good weather and an excellent attendance for the 2nd day’s races. Following are the results : Owen Stakes —Johnny Faa 1, Libel 2, Pihanga Div., £2. Second Hurdles—Melinite 1, Kapua 2, Sunbeam 3. A good race. Div., £2 3s.
