STOCK REPORT.
Messrs Abraham and William* report : A full muster of cattle came forward at 1 our Pahiatua Stock Sale on Tuesday. These I were of a useful description throughout. ' Bidding for steer* wa* brisk right along 1 the line and everything quitted at price* generally in favor of the vendor. Female ' stock, unles* choice heifers close to calving, ; were found to be rather slow of sale. Fat bullocks advanced in price, weight con- | sidored. Of sheep the entry was short, | i some of the advertised lots being witUI drawn at the last moment. Notwithstand- ! ing, the comers had limited competition. Satisfactory prices resulted. Wo quote — I Fat bullocks, .£(» 10a to £7 10s ; 3-year j steers. £4 4a to £‘l 12a fid ; 18-month to . ‘2-year steers, £3 4s to £3 15s ; store cow.*, £3 10a 6d ; milch sow* lip to £7 : springing heifers, £3 15* to £5 11s. Sheep—Fat wethers, 14*; forward wethers, 12s 6d ; j *tore wethers, 11s 6d ; small ditto., 8s 5d ; small to medium hoggets, 7s 7d to 7s 9d.
