Meeting in Pahiatua,
A meeting of delegates from cricket clubs in the Bush district was held at the Commercial Hotel, Pahiatua, on Wednesday evening. There were present: —Dr Gault aad W. J. Reeve, representing the Pahiatua County Club, aud Mr H. Elliott, representing the Maharakara and Vic- j toriac Clubs. A telegram was read from Mr Nicholson, of the Eketahuna Club, apologising for non attendance and expressing the willingness of the Club to join the Association. Dr Gault was voted to the chair. Mr Reeve moved, 'Chat an Association bo formed, to be called the Bush Cricket Association. Seconded by Mr Elliott and tarried. l)r Gault handed in h letter from Mr A. Easel berg, offering to preseat a silver cup 1 for eompetition by the Clubs in the Asso nation, to be won twice in succession or three limes at intervals. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Casclherg for his generous gift. I>r Gault moved That the present meet ing adjourn to the Ist Septembei, at the Club Hotel Woodville, the object of such meeting to be the arrangement and draft ing "of rules, arranging matches, and general.
