Another Melbourne Tragedy.

Mhljjournk, August *27. ] A terrible tragedy is reported to have •ecurrtd about three miles from Springhurst railway station, where a selector ■anted Georgo Dobson murdered inree of hid children, also i n«i_nbor uuiued Peter IMntdale, aud th*»u committed suicide by cutting hi* throat. Dobson had been in a very despondent mood for tome day* ©win. to ruontiary troubles, and was continually stating to his wife that he had only a few days te live. Vt*stv.i day, Mrs Dobson determined to obtain help, and left her home for that purpose, taking two of the youngest children with her. A friend of hers named Voiaarx rode over to the residence this morning, when he scovered tin* bodies and communicated with the police. A thorough search by the latter revealed the bodies of th children face downwards with their tn. >at.s cut. Dinsdal© had apparently be* n shot behind the ear while reading. (dntmuiiig their search the police found a butcher's knife smeared with blood near an underground tank, aud on looking into it, l>ou-»ori * body wa* observed with the hea l almost severed from th© trunk.
