Messrs Abraham and Williams report Palmerston Sale.—Stock came forward in shorter supply. The class of eneep generally was of second rate to inferior quality, consequently the demand was but a fair proportion changed hand*. W« penned up *oxne useful lot* ol sfi-ers and store bullocks. A fair demand existed at quotations. For dairy stock there was a firm inquiry for suitable sorts, indifferent quality beiug neglected. Weaner* sold much on a par with recent rites, i stile —Store bullocks. £4 14s; 3-year old steers. £4 5s ; ?ood ui .lch sows, £7 to £7 15s. others £5 to l 5 Te fid; weauers. 23# fid to *27e. Sheep—Let wethers. 13s7d . store wethers. 9sto 10s5d; breeding ewes. As Td to 9s . small hoggets, 3* Sd to 4s lOd. Pah atue Bole.—At Pahiatua on the 7th« ins:., the yards were better filled then we have ten them for some time. Ewes in lamb met with steadv enquiry, lambs were somewhat easier, t attic sold at late rates, dairy eon-* forward ut calf meeting with ready sale. We quote: -Fat cows, prime, £5 Lis : others, £5 U to £5 9e : fat eieeis. £7 . dairy cows to calve aerlv. £5 15* to £fi 15s: others. £.* to £5 14s; 3-vr springing heifer*. £5 9* Ivr steers. £3 9-*: yearlings, small. 37s Ad Sheep Ew-%*' in lamb.
