Football Notes.
Bt “ Rcobt."
The incessant downpour ef rain this week has made all the bush grounds v ery sloppy. The local seniors journey to Tu.&ekara. and Woodville are planned for Eketahuna. but somehow 1 fancy thev will not travel. The first named will be a most interesting one. and should be closely contested. Up to the present the local team have been rather too much for Tutaekara, but lately the strength of the latter has been greatly improved by the addition of several well-known and useful men, and the team now consider they are good enough for anything in the bush. The Pahiatua team, however, are not to be forgotten, and taking into consideration the fact that they are the lightest team m the bush, their record ef having only one defeat as yet is very creditable. I fully expect to see them hold their own to-morrow. Mr A. Baillie will act as referee in the match to morrow, he having consented to do so at the request of both Clubs . The coach for Tutaekara tomorrow will leave the Commercial Hotel at 1 o’clock sharp. Players are requested to roll up punctually to time as the roads are rather heavy.
