IN pursuance of the Alooholic Liquor Sale Control Act, 1898, I, FREDERICK HENRY IBBETSON, the Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Masterton, do hereby give notice that a poll will be takon of the Electors of the said District, on the 21st day of March, 1894, for the purpose of determining in respect of publicans’, accommodation, and bottle licenses under tbe Licensing Acts:— (1). Whether the present number of lioenses is to be continued. (2). Whether the number of any such licenses is to be reduced. (8). Whether any licenses are to be granted. And I do hereby give farther notice that on the said 21st day of March, 1894, and simultaneously with the poll hereinbefore appointed to be taken, an election will be held for the return of eight qualified persons to serve as members of the Licensing Committee for the said district, being the Masterton Licensing District, and that the latest day for receiving nominations of candidates will bo the 13th day of March instant. Every person desirous of becoming a candidate must be nominated by not less than two electors in the manner prescribed by the Electoral Act, 1893.

WAIPAWA LICENSING DISTRICT IN PURSUANCE of “The Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act, 1898,” and of “ The Electoral Acts, 1898,” I, Samuel Johnson, Returning Officer for Waipawa District, do hereby give public notice that an election will bo held for the return of EIGHT qualified persons to serve as members of the Licensing Committee for such District on WEDNESDAY, 21st March, 1804 ; and that the latest day for receiving Nominations of Candidates, and the place, will be the 13th March, 1894, at my office, Waipawa. Each nomination must be accompanied by a sum of £lO. I further give notice that on the said 21st March, 1894, a Poll of the Electors will betaken on the Proposal: —“ That the number of Publicans, or Accommodation, or Mottle Licenses shall continue AS AT PRESENT, or be REDUCED, or that ;NONE BE GRANTED in the Waipawa Licensing District.
