Woodville News.

(From our own Correspondent)

Woodvij.le, This Day. On Wednesday evening a meeting convened by the Good Templars was held in the Methodist Church to consider what action should be taken by the Temperance Party in the coming licensing elections in the Waipawa electorate. Addresses were delivered by the Revs. Penney and Eccles and Messrs Adams, Manisty, Haggen and Stevenson. Resolutions were passed that the temperance people in the electorate be recommended to vote for the prohibition question on the ballot paper, as th *se votes, if not sufficiently strong to carry prohibition, would still count in favor of reduction. It was resolved to nominate a Committe to support the principles of the temperance party, and a sub-committee was appointed to arrange with other temperance people throughout the electorate to nominate a Committee.
