Eketahuna.
Wednesday. The weather still keeps fine. Let us hope it will keep so, as there are a lot of settlors here that have grass seed to thrash yet. I notice that Mr Mils Lunn lias had his paddock of oats cut, and a fine crop. Ekatabuna sti'l forges ahead. Mr Peters, from Carterton, has aommenced business here as a bootmaker in the premises lately occupied by Mr 11. Thomas. Let us hope he may succeed. Thursday. The township to-day is enveloped in smoke from a big fire out in the Stirling Special Settlement Block.
