The low hills around P&hiaiua arc at present perfectly white with daisies which are in unusual profusion this year. Mr \Y. Tosswill was the victim of a nasty accident on Saturday. He was riding down from his residence into town and when coining down the hill from his stublcs hia steed commenced to plunge and buck. Being down hill every plunge caused the rider to spur the horse, which continued bucking with redoubled vigor. Mr Tosswill was thrown violently to the ground the force of the tall rendering him insensible for sonv* minutes. He was bruised vrty badly about tin* face and head and severely shaken by the concussion, but fortunutely no more severe injuries were sustained.
