Flying Handicap, of 15 sovs ; second horse to receive 2 sovs from the stakes. Nomination, ss; acceptance, 10s. Distance, 8 furlongs. To start at 2.80 p.m. 5. Stewards’ Stakes Handicap, of 30 sovs, second horse to receive 5 sovs from the Stakes. Nomination, 10s; acceptance, 20s. Distance, 1 mile. The winner of the Pahiatua Jockey Club Handicap to carry a penalty of 71bs. To start at 3 p.m. 6. Makuri Flutter, of 10 sovs. Post entry, 10s. Distance 5 furlongs. Minimum weight, 8 stone. To start at 3.30 p.m. 7. High Wright Handicap, of 20 sovs, second horse to receive 50s from the stakes. Nomination, 10s ; acceptance 108. Di«tancc 1} miles. To start at 4 p.m. NOMINATIONS Close on Thursday, December 14th, 1893, at 9 p.m. WEIGHTS Declared on Thursday, December 21st, 1893, at 9 p.m. ACCEPTANCES Close on Thursday, December 28th, 1895, at 9 p.m. CONDITIONS. 1. No entry will he received for any race except upon this condition, That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards or those they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. 2. All races upon this programme are open to “ hacks’’ only. 3. “ Hack ” shall mean horses that have never won an advertised stake exceeding the value of 40 sovs at time of start (hack and hunter races excepted), and that are not nominated fora “Derby,” “Guineas,” “St. Leger,” or “Sapling Stakes” at time of start. 4. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary at Pahiatua, entrance money enclosed, with name, age at time of entry, pedigree and performancs of horse, name of owner and colors the of rider. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined 3 sovs. 6. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing color must be worn. 6. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or the Clerk of the Scales one half-hour before the advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine of 5 sovs to the race fund. 7. All races to be run under the New Zealand Rules of Racing. 8. Horses walking”over will only receive half the stakes. 9. Horses whieh have won a race of the advertised value of 20 sovs or over •fter declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 51b; of 45 sovs or over, a penalty of lOlbs. 10. All entries and nominations must be in the hands of the Secretary at the time and place as advertised. Post marks will not be received. J. DEVONSHIRE, Secretary.
