(To the Editor.) When reading the report of the meeting of Be .tiers he'd in Makuri on the*l9th ult. to propose a suitable man to he nominated for the Puketoi Riding in the CountyCouncil. I was surprised to see you only mention Mr Niven as being proposed and unanimously approved of without once mentioning the other man. Mr A. C. lioss. ot haitawa. who was also proposed and unanimously approved of as a suitable candidate to represent the other portion of the t iding.
