DR KELLER’S DEATH

SHOT BY DEMENTED PATIENT

AUCKLAND, October 5. Cabled advice has been received m Auckland that Dr Martin Keller, who was for many years a prominent practitioner in Auckland, had been fatally shot by a demented patient at the Glendale Sanatorium, Los Angeles, of which he was medical director. r Dr Keller, whose wife, Dr Florence Keller, was equally well known, had a large practice in Auckland for about 15 years. He left New Zealand in 1921 to take up the position of dean of the White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles, and was later appointed medical director of the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital, at which the tragedy occurred.
