Why is money like a secret? —Because it is hard to keep. What has a foot and brow, but no leg or face? —A hill. Why is a river like an elbow?—Because it is always bending. What is most useful when broken?—An egg. Why is a penny useful on washing day? —Because it’s a copper. ■Why is a tomato like this page?—Because it is rc(a)d all over. Why is a pianist never poor?—Because he can always get notes out of the piano. ■What two birds neither walk nor fly? —The scarecrow and the weathercock.
