Speaking at the annual meeting of the Macarthy Trust, the'Public Trustee made reference to the over-supply of shop, office, and warehouse accommodation, due to the extensive building operations which have been carried on in the larger towns during the past few years. This, he said, was causing a falling tendency in the rents which could be obtained, accentuated by the general decline in business returns throughout the community.
